Restoration of religious architecture

Emphasising the past, interpreting the present

The restoration and planning of the liturgical layout have returned the church of Santa Brigida to its full function as a place of worship.

A work of the nineteen twenties by engineer Luigi Angelini, the church had been closed and inaccessible for years.
The intervention of structural strengthening has restored façades, frescoes and floors respecting what was handed down from the past in its entirety, but without giving up an interpretation of the spaces of worship.

The liturgical redesign is especially important, involving the planning of the altar, the cross, the pulpit and the baptismal font. liturgies have found new vitality thanks to sculptor Elio Bianco’s contemporary and elegant language.

The intervention was carried out under the supervision of the Superintendency for environmental and architectural heritage and in collaboration with architects Laura Bettinelli and Mario Mazzocchi.
